True Love by Pat Vachon

I met the bride a few years ago through work, and she had yet to meet the man of her dreams. When she started dating him you could see the change in her. She was definitely in love. When he used to pick her up after work our co-workers would peek through the windows to get a glimpse of the man of her dreams. We always knew it was only a matter of time before they got married.

As happens with work we both moved on and she moved in with the love of her life. So it was no surprise to me when I got the message that he had proposed to her.

The wedding was at a beautiful old ski lodge north of Oshawa, called Trillium Trails and it was a lovely fall wedding where you could see how much these two truly loved another.

Preparing for a new addition by Pat Vachon

They wanted maternity photos to celebrate the coming of their newest addition to the family!

We met down by this little island in the river for a quiet session. The baby was due very soon, the soon to be parents were excited and nervous. The dog was very playful and was excited to see me.

Shortly after these photos, the newest addition to the family arrived! :-D

Portraits at an abandoned farm by Pat Vachon

We spent the Summer and Fall exploring an abandoned farm together. We walked through the woods, checked out the barns and house and saw many sunsets as we wandered through the tall grass and captured many moment together.

Two Families become One by Pat Vachon

When they met, they knew!  They joined together to become one family.  Friends became brothers and sisters.  This was more then just about two people coming together with family and friends to become husband and wife.  This was about two families, with three children between them coming together to be one.

As we went around to do photos, they took me to an abandoned farm.  I love abandoned places, and we captured this amazing photo of the two of them.

A backyard wedding in Millbrook by Pat Vachon

They came from all over Ontario, to meet up in Millbrook, a small town outside of Peterborough, to celebrate the union of these two loving people.  It was a beautiful sunny Sunday!

British Invasion by Pat Vachon

Some weddings really stay in your mind.  This was definitely one of them.  She was originally from England and they became a fairy tale.

There were a lot of tears of joy that day (including a couple shed by me) and lots of fun and laughter.  I still remember being out on the dance floor at the end of the night with everyone as the British showed their Canadian "Cousins" how to shake a dance floor.

T & J Wedding at the Quarry by Pat Vachon

She was new to the job and he was visiting where she worked.  They met, they fell in love and they became a family.  T & J's wedding was at the family church in Fenelon Falls.  J was marrying the man of her dreams.  After the I do's we went to the Quarry Golf Club in Ennismore to celebrate the beginning of their life together.
